Antique Victorian (1837-1901) moth with beautiful filigree detailing. The moth has two sets of wings which protrude giving the brooch a more pronounced 3D effect. The brooch has a signature open 'c' setting common in the Victorian era.
Filigree is a delicate form of metal work in silver or gold creating a lace effect. This style of jewellery was very popular in Italy and France in the late 19th century.

The moth measures 3cm / 1.2cm in length and 1.8cm/0.7" in height.
CONDITION
The brooch is in excellent antique condition.
